Brought in the New Year with my family as usual. Sometimes I take this for granted like last night right before our little celebration. I was so stuck on trying to figure out what I wanted to do after we did our thing or to bring in the new year some other way, but as time grew near, as we cheered our glasses, hugged and prayed, I realized how important it is to NOT take these little things like that for granted. Family’s all I’ve got and they are always gonna have my back. Many friends come and go but family stays forever. This lesson reflects so many events and memories of this 2011 so it really is the truth..

and who better to get drunk than with your family. My mom and I definitely had a heart to heart about life. One of the things she said that was so real was that we’ve got to stop blaming everything around us for our problems or shortcomings. We don’t like something or we feel that something’s lacking, it’s up to us to make that change. Everything comes within because our surrounding only reflect what’s inside of us !
